Day 1: Flying and Arrival

Hello,

Our day started bright and early yesterday at 4am. We flew to Atlanta first. 

Changed planes in ATL, ate Chick-Fil-A, and boarded our 3 hour flight to Belize. 

As we got closer to Belize City, this was our view. 

Arrived in Belize City around noon. After getting off the plane, going though immigration, and customs, we were met by the Vice President of the Beliziean school we will be working with, and a man who is a well traveled missionary who has spent his life taking action in disaster relief in Africa.  They accompanied us on our 3 hour trip north. 

During this time, we learned about the Belizeian's way of life. 

As the heat index was soaring, we cooled off by the bay.

The Calm Before the Storm

Hello Friends and Family!

We are less than 12 hours from leaving for Belize. Today has been spent packing a few last minute things. 

According to this weeks weather forecast in Belize, we are going to endure torrential rain and thunderstorms. This is unlikely for this time of year. The place where we will be working is in the lowlands near a river. Chances are we will be swimming in a lot more than the ocean! 

Please be in prayer for this weather situation as well as our flight tomorrow.
